Internationalization At Home
You do not have to take the long-distant flight to China or the Netherlands. A digital exchange connects Chinese and Dutch schools and students and brings the other culture to your home. It is an ideal activity for underage students to create cultural awareness and develop intercultural competences

Individual Contact & Virtual Classroom
During the eight-weeks of digital exchange, students have direct contact with their Chinese or Dutch buddies. Through exchange videos, assignments, and life experiences with each other, students communicate with and interview each other, get the insights of other cultures, and learn from each other.
Apart from individual contact, another highlighted part of the Sino-Dutch Digital Exchange is the Virtual Classroom that the students and teachers both join. This way, students “sit together” and directly experience school life with peers on the other side of the globe.
international jury & project certificate
An International Jury will evaluate students’ performance. At the end of the exchange, students will receive a Project Certificate based on evaluation criteria.
intercultural competences development
All activities and assignments fit in the structure of "knowledge, attitude, skills”.
Knowledge
During the digital exchange, students study the self and their own culture, show their context, acquire knowledge of other cultures such as languages and communication styles, and gain insights into other societies and cultures.
Attitude
Students learn about different perspectives and respect for diversity, keep open-minded and curious about others.
Skills
Focus on intercultural communication to reach mutual understanding. Students can take the initiative to communicate and discuss curiosity with people from other cultures.
